Rise and Shine
My day as a JTR Energy technician starts early. I’m up at 6 AM, grabbing a quick breakfast before heading out to our first call of the day. Today, we’re heading to Monee, IL for an air conditioning service appointment.
Morning: AC Service in Monee
8 AM: We arrive at the customer’s home in Monee. The homeowner complains about uneven cooling, so we begin our diagnostic process. After a thorough inspection, we discover that the air filter is clogged and the refrigerant levels are low. We clean the system, replace the filter, and recharge the refrigerant. The customer is relieved to have their AC working efficiently again.
Midday: Boiler Repair in Matteson
11 AM: Our next stop takes us to Matteson, IL, where a customer is experiencing issues with their boiler. Upon inspection, we find that the circulator pump is malfunctioning. We quickly replace the faulty part and perform a system check to ensure everything is working correctly.
Afternoon: HVAC Repair in Frankfort
2 PM: After a quick lunch break, we head to Frankfort, IL, for an HVAC repair job. The customer’s system is blowing warm air instead of cool. We diagnose the problem as a faulty compressor and explain the repair process to the homeowner. With their approval, we begin the replacement.
Late Afternoon: Ductless HVAC Installation in Chicago Heights
4 PM: Our final scheduled appointment of the day is in Chicago Heights, IL. A customer has requested a ductless HVAC installation for their newly renovated home office. We go through the installation process, explaining the benefits of the ductless system to the homeowner.
Emergency Call: Air Conditioning Service in Crete
6 PM: Just as we’re wrapping up, we receive an emergency call from Crete, IL. A family’s air conditioner has completely stopped working during a heatwave. We head over immediately and discover a blown fuse. We replace it and get their system up and running again, much to the family’s relief.
End of Day
8 PM: After a long but satisfying day, I head back home. Before calling it a night, I prepare for tomorrow’s scheduled appointments in Peotone, IL, where we’ll be conducting routine maintenance on several HVAC systems.
